Wagrain-Kleinarl Saga
In tourism, the mountains, region and people have increasingly become consumer goods, trails, leisure activities and service providers, and have thus visibly lost their dignity as a natural environment. The films aim to restore this dignity and thus uncover the actual quality of impact that lies in the soul of the Alpine natural and living space. Only great artistic freedom and the filmmaker's personal, cinemascopic view of the world create the intensity of touch through the films.
The Wagrain-Kleinarl Saga offers a regeneration effect by means of cinematic possibilities, at least in small bites, even without a holiday in Wagrain-Kleinarl. In 5 short films we meet 10 different people from the valley and experience their special relationship to this place. A ‘reanimation’ of the place takes place. The films turn the perspective from functional nature offers (piste, trail, track) to the great, lively, mythical encounter with the Alps.
